Saqib Saleem


Saqib Saleem is a talented, promising actor who has also dabbled in modeling and sports at college. Delhi boy Saqib represented the prestigious Hindu College, Delhi University in cricket and indulged in other sports while studying here. From a family that owns the celebrated chain of restaurants in the capital, Saqib moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in showbiz. Having modeled in recognized ad campaigns for Pepsico, Tata Docomo and Airtel, he got noticed for his good looks and winsome persona.

At the insistence of designer friend Varun Bahl, Saqib auditioned for YRF, and was signed on for a two film deal with Y films, the hipper, urban centric division of cinema here. His earnest performances in MUJHSE FRAANDSHIP KAROGE, and MERE DAD KI MARUTI, earned him a Filmfare award nomination in the Best Male Debut category and praise from critics. He continued to display promise as an actor in the anthology BOMBAY TALKIES. His next, HAWAA HAWAAI, an underdog sports film by Amole Gupte also won him positive reviews. He, also enthralled his fans with his performance in KOI DEKH LEGA, a part of Love Shots, the Y-Films web series where he plays a visually-impaired lover. In 2016, Saqib Saleem was seen in DISHOOM and will be seen next in OCULUS remake DOBAARA with his sister Huma Qureshi.
