17 June 2006: Yash Raj Films’ latest release ‘FANAA’ is the only Indian film to gross £ 1 million at the UK Box Office since Yash Raj Film’ blockbuster “Veer-Zaara” released in 2004. 

In its opening weekend Fanaa entered the UK box office charts at number 6, grossing £413,410 in the first 4 days from 37 screens across the UK.

The full first week grossed £591,564 creating a staggering print average of £13,145 and a cinema average of nearly £16,000. 

It crossed the £1million UK box office in the first 21 days of release becoming UK’s 8th highest grossing Indian film of all time.

With Fanaa, Yash Raj Films have distributed 7 out of the Top 10 highest grossing Indian films of all time in UK.
