The interactive "Mujhse Dosti Karoge Friendship Virus" application created to promote the movie Mujhse Dosti Karoge has won the GOLD ABBY AWARD in the category of "Internet Advertising and Promotion". The 36th All India Awards For Creative Excellence (for the year 2002) were held by the Advertising Club of Bombay on the 16 March 2003. The Abby Awards are the Oscars of Indian ad awards to honour creative excellence in advertising. They are undoubtedly, the biggest and the most prestigious ad award show in the country eagerly awaited by more than 2500 professionals from the marketing, advertising, media, research and PR fraternity.

This friendly virus was created in association with Indiafm, and was resident on both yashrajfilms.com and indiafm.com. The promotion received a tremendous response - downloaded by over 40,000 users in just a week's time and forwarded to twice as many people!

Formed in 1998, the International Web Page Awards is the largest international website design festival and is a distinguished forum developed to judge and evaluate creative achievements in the Internet space on a global level.

600 entries were received from across 21 countries at the awards ceremony held in April 2000. Of them, 137 participants were nominated with a ‘Creative Excellence Award’, which was a short-list to compete in 24 different categories for the ‘Best of Category’ awards. www.yashrajfilms.com was nominated with a Creative Excellence Award, and then nominated the winner in the Best of Category (Film) at the International Web Page Awards 2000.
