August 2003: Yash Raj Films has formed a new division - the "Yash Raj Films Ad Cell" - exclusively dedicated to the making of advertisements and TV & Film commercials. Through this cell, Yash Raj Films gives the opportunity to the advertising industry to take advantage of the excellence and skill with which we have become synonymous. Yash Raj Films' creative excellence, technical skills, production values and artist goodwill puts it in the ideal position to expand its services into the ad arena. We have had over three decades of experience in feature film production and we have, in house, a team of well trained and committed individuals who have also excelled in television programmes, music videos and some exclusive advertising films. This team is continuously guided by two of India's most successful directors Mr. Yash Chopra and Mr. Aditya Chopra. Yash Raj Films Ad Cell will look forward to bringing the same excellence that is associated with us in feature films; our biggest strengths being effective story telling, a well recognized pre-production and post production infrastructure and our goodwill with the leading performers in the entertainment world. Yash Raj Films Ad Cell will be headed by Mr.Arjun Sablok, a well-known creative person in this field. In the last decade, Arjun has directed various advertisement films including the Dabur Amla campaign with Karisma Kapoor, films for Pantaloon, Bare Jeans and various other products. He also directed the film Na Tum Jano Na Hum starring Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan and Esha Deol and also has to his credit the television film Humko Ishq Ne Mara, music videos of Pankaj Udhas, Kumar Sanu and the very popular music video Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon by Lata Mangeshkar. Arjun is assisted by a team of qualified technicians, who have won awards in every major area of filmmaking. This combination of experience and skill allows the Yash Raj Films Ad Cell to ensure that their end product is technically as superior as any other release from the Yash Raj Films stable. The first ad film to be shot under the Yash Raj Films Ad Cell was the commercial for Dabur Chyawanprash (an Ayurvedic health product). Dabur India Limited is the fourth largest FMCG Company in India with interests in Health care, Personal care and Food products. This ad film was directed by Arjun Sablok and starred one of India's biggest superstars, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. This film was shot with the backdrop of a massive set constructed in Film City (Mumbai) especially for the ad and was captured on film by renowned film cinematographer Kiran Deohans.
