The event was truly special as it was the first time audiences got to see and meet with Romeo and Laila. Romeo and Laila danced to a medley of songs from Roadside Romeo. The presence of Jugal Hansraj, whose maiden directorial venture this film is, along with Jaaved Jafferi who has lent his versatile voice to the character of Charlie Anna, the villain in the film, Salim-Sulaiman, the music directors and Jaideep Sahni who has penned the lyrics and some singers who have sung the wonderful songs from the film added to the overall event being a fun filled one.

Adding to the excitement there was also a fashion show that was organized by the merchandising division of Disney wherein the clothes line for children was showcased by the young models walking the ramp.

Last but not the least, there was a funfair depicting the world of Roadside Romeo with Romeo’s home in one area, Laila’s dance bar in another and Charlie Anna’s den with his formidable red chair in another corner. There were also a lot of games and food for all to enjoy. The ultimate excitement was the opportunity to be photographed with Romeo and Laila, giving everyone a chance to take home with them a part of a memorable evening.

The soundtrack is only a taste of things to come from the combined creative forces of Yash Raj Films and Disney, and after hearing the songs, movie lovers will no doubt be waiting with breathless anticipation for the Diwali release of “Roadside Romeo”.

Roadside Romeo is a joint production of Yash Raj Films and Walt Disney Pictures. It is directed by Jugal Hansraj and features the voices of Saif Ali Khan as Romeo, Kareena Kapoor as Laila and Jaaved Jaaferi as Charlie Anna. The lyrics have been written by Jaideep Sahni.

These include Apparels, Accessories and Footwear (in association with Catmoss, Bodycare and Lakhani for apparel, innerwear and footwear respectively), Fine Jewellery (in association with Popley, which comprises of diamond studded Romeo and Laila pendants), School products, Stationery, Personal utility (in partnership with HM International to retail the fantastic line-up of Roadside Romeo stationary products such as Note books, Lunch boxes, Water bottles, Coin banks, Pencil boxes, CD Cases etc.), Home Products (in association with Portico - Creative Mobus to launch the Roadside Romeo bed sheet collection and Mugs in a tie-up with Hot Muggs), Toys (interactive range of Roadside Romeo toys including puzzles, maze, etc), Story Books, Activity Books (in association with Excel, a host of books such as coloring, copy, activity, sticker etc in the market.
